workshop: benchtop vises, handplaning

Time to trim the bench to size. I decided on 7.5 feet. I’d like 8, but the shop just isn’t as large as I’d like

First, do a pass with the circular saw at max depth:

Then finish with a crosscut handsaw. Lubricate the blade with wax and use wedges to keep the kerf open.

The glueup wasn’t perfect, and I got a fair bit of cupping. I planed the bottom flat and installed two out of the three vises, then flipped the bench over.
